Ilsung-Aquex Demonstration Project – Schofield Barracks Wastewater Treatment Plan, Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii
Alexander Pacific was contracted by Korean based Ilsung-Aquex Pacific to complete the design and construction of the site to install test equipment at the Schofield Barracks Wastewater Treatment Plan (SBWWTP). The project consisted of completing the civil, electrical, and structural design to prepare for the installation of test equipment. Two separate test processes were installed, each requiring grading, electrical service, and structural foundations. The first process contained an early solids separation system that was designed to remove solids from the waste stream at the headworks of the plant. The second process tested was a sludge drying and pelletizing plant that was used to dewater sludge from the digester and then used ambient air to dry and pelletize the sludge. Upon completion of the testing, Alexander Pacific was contracted to remove the equipment from the site.
