Project: OST Ceiling Replacement, Daniel K. Inouye International Airport – Temporary Wall Construction.
Description: As a Subcontractor, API provided McCain modular aluminum wall panels for enclosure of the work zone for this project. The project consisted of 43,000 SF of ceiling replacement and required all businesses and access doors to remain open and unobstructed. API designed and implemented the phasing plan. The phasing plan included construction of tunnels using the McCain wall system panels. The design for the tunnel include structural testing to allow for the top of the tunnel also serve as a work platform. The Innovative design allowed for a very compact work surface that was integrated into the work zone protection. Efficiency in removing and resetting the modular panel wall system for each phase of work contributed to the success in keeping the project on schedule, while providing a secure and attractive barrier in the busy air terminal.
